Hello! I'm Natalie Laky, and I'm a sophomore. This is my first year tutoring in the LC, I've been tutoring since the beginning of this year. I became a tutor because I know the LC was very helpful to me last year, so I wanted to give other students the same opportunity I had. Plus, I love being able to stay in practice with classes that I'm not enrolled in anymore (like physics!) I run on cross country/track and I am on DECA and Math Team, as well as the HP/Highwood Legal Aid Clinic. I also love playing piano and cello. :) I would highly recommend become a tutor because it is such a fantastic way to help others while also strengthening your grasp of a subject. For students meeting with a tutor for the first time: do not be afraid to ask for help! If you feel that your tutor skipped over a concept you are still having trouble with, let us know so that we can help you as much as possible. Don't hesitate to come into the LC, especially with finals week approaching.
What teachers are saying about Natalie:
Natalie Laky was a tremendous help during our vignette writing project. She came to class and worked with students who needed more support on expressing their ideas, developing their thoughts, and structuring their vignettes. The peer-to-peer collaboration and conversation is an authentic part of the learning process and Natalie was able to provide the perspective and expertise to make students meet the core learning targets of the course. Additionally, students were able to connect with a student leader in the school.
