Hi! My name is Andrew Biondi and I am a senior. I started tutoring last year and am very happy that I did. I began tutoring because I thought it would be a fun way to help out my peers, as I have needed help in the past and always appreciated it when someone could help me. Personally, I most enjoy tutoring in Math and Physics because those are the subjects I am most interested in, but love to tutor in any subject I can! Outside of the classroom, I run Cross Country and Track, participate in Science Olympiad, and have worked at Ravinia Festival the past two summers. I am extremely glad that I started tutoring last year, and would recommend it to everyone. The feeling of helping out a student and seeing the light bulb go off in their head is very rewarding. Having students come up to me and say that they did well on a test after I tutored them is an awesome moment. For those meeting tutors for the first time, don't be nervous. All the tutors here are every nice and happy to help! I am in the TLC 5th period every day, so stop by if you need any help!
Here's what Teachers are saying :
From Ms. Solis: Andrew came into our freshman lab class and conducted one on one annotation conferences with our students, providing them with both positive feedback and suggestions to advance their annotating skills. The conversations were sophisticated and respectful. We hope he will continue to join us as much as his schedule allows.
